AGRO is a youth project which aims to promote cooperation between young people from Europe and Africa in the agricultural sector.
For this reason it organizes capacity building training courses in a great variety of themes including Entrepreneurship and Business Skills in the agricultural sector, agriculture of specific typical products and Successful Examples of agricultural businesses leaded by young people. Three capacity building courses are being organized throughout the project in three different countries (Italy, Cameroon and Ghana) and one e-learning course addressed to young people and youth workers all over the world.
The aim of these courses is to improve the knowledge and skills of young workers, improving the social inclusion of young people who have difficulty finding work, with the aim of further promoting the development of business initiatives by young people, in different areas of agriculture
The project's lead applicant is Svimed - EuroMediterranean Center for Sustainable Development, settled in Sicily- Ragusa and the partnership is composed by other 4 organisations from Italy, Greece, Cameroon and Ghana.
The project AGRO is funded under the Erasmus + Programme - Key Action 2: Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices - Capacity Building in the field of youth.
